    Default aged domain name

    hey guys

    simple question here.

I recently bought a domain that has been registered for 4 years (but no website on it!)

As soon as i bought it i put a simple wordpress holding page on it and while use this site in about a years time.

So my question, are those 4 year counted towards the domains age?? or does it have to have a website on the domain for 4 years for it to be classed as and aged domain of 4 years?

Plus, it'll be 5 years old once i work on it. Will 5 years domian be seen as a solid domain age?

    Many thanks in advance
    Tony

If the domain is parked or has a site on it then the age counts, if not and it sits in your godaddy account or whatever, the age helps but not half as much as if it had a relevant site or article on it.
Look at the waybackmachine, and see the previous versions of the indexed site, if none, then not much help.

No problem, it's the wayback machine remember, not the time machine.
