Default Is it safe to use Scrapebox on a University network?

Well I've recently bought SB and I love it. I was just wondering if I should be using it on a university network or not? Is there any way that I could get in trouble?

I would use proxies. But if the schools IT dept really wanted to know where most of the bandwidth usage was coming from, they will find you. But you could just tell them that your computer was hacked, and they'd probably let you off the hook.

    I spam from Starbucks daily.

I mean I'm not doing anything more than 2-5k comments and related scraping every day. So nothing too huge. And are you talking about using a proxy to access the internet or in SB? I think the university offers a free VPN to use, would that do any good?
And starbucks is a lil different. You're computer isn't registered with starbucks and you don't live there lol.

They let me play xbox live from my room when I was in res, and bandwidth wise, that blows this level of activity out of the water.

    You should be fine.

...but you should use proxies to avoid getting your building/network/school's IP (I have no idea how that might work actually) blocked or banned by anything, akismet for example.

Get a VPN and you won't have a problem. Using usual proxies won't make you invisible for the ISP.

Dude it will give you no problems - use proxies and you will be fine - especially at the volumes you're doing. I'm finishing a scrape and it has been going for 20 hours now, as long as you're not doing volumes like that you will be ok. Heck, even if you were doing that I'm not sure they would care.

You should be fine. The worst thing that might happen is that they ask you to stop. Your university is much more worried about pirated torrents than ScrapeBox. The former will get you in a lot more trouble.
