Thread: My new project: Bloggomatic

Hey all,

I'm new to the forums (you can read my story in my introduction post).

I just started a new project, I'm building an Automatic Blog plugin for WordPress, I setup a blog and forum to keep up with updates and stuff: www.bloggomatic.com.

I know it's nothing new, but I'm simply trying to make something better than what is out there. (Is that arrogant? )

Right now I'm collecting as much feedback as I can to make the best and most useful plugin possible. As a way to thank people for their feedback, I'll be giving away the plugin for free to those who helped me.

Looking forward to hear your ideas, thoughts, comments on this!

I'm planning on selling the plugin when it is complete. I'm thinking about different packages:

1. Autoblog Network package: Bloggomatic, an automatic social bookmarking plugin, a few ad-ready templates, and an ebook on how to set everything up and start making money.

2. Link Farm package: Bloggomatic, a PHP script to link all blogs together, a few basic blog templates, and an ebook on how to setup a link farm and how to get the most out of it.

3. SEO package: Bloggomatic, a PHP script to link all blogs together, a special template I designed, and an ebook explaining a new method I developped

Im also new here and perhaps we can help each other? I have WP sites setup for my taxi business in Boston Ma. I need content based around a few simple keywords. I think I would be an excellent case study for your software.

Here are some must have features:

Ability to scrape the rss feeds original content to pull the FULL story and not the summary which is located in the rss feed. I believe Blogsense is the only plugin that does this but it is necessary!

It would be nice to have better scheduling than whats out there. For example post feeds between 8am and 4pm. And not 24 hours a day or every 4 hours. No real blogger posts 24 hours a day

Better templating system using custom feed items.

These are good ideas. Scraping the full rss feed is indeed very important.

As for posting between certain hours, this is planned already. The user will be able to enter a certain time range in which the posts' date will be set randomly.

What do you mean exactly by "better templating system using custom feed items"?

I am new around here too. Been devouring a lot of information and I think autoblogging is the way for me to go.

What do you need a hand with, and can we test drive your plugin?

Posted on your blog, but overall this seems like it could be a quality plug-in. I'm excited to see what the free download has in it and give some more quality feedback.

I just checked out your site and I think you really NEED to integrate youtube video posting and to also include the youtube comments as well. WP-Robot does all this plus amazon and Ebay posting so you could definitely compete with that plugin with these features.
