Default Is this premium wordpress theme compromised?

Hey guys hopefully this is in the right place

I have a really nice wordpress video template that my friend sent me, but he thinks it might be compromised and have links, cpa offers, etc. Can anyone take a look at it and tell me if its clean? Id be more than happy to send it to you, or if not can someone at least give me some tips on where to look or what to look for? Thank you as I am brand new to wordpress

thanks a lot mark. I actually havent even installed wordpress on my hosting yet, I was just trying to get it checked before hand. Is there any way I can directly send it to you? If not, I guess I'll have to wait til I actually get it fully setup

    Quick check.
OPen up the index.php and home.php and sidebar.php in dreamweaver or komposer.
and look for any encrypted code or reference to pages in other folders.
    Then check other templates.
Could be just hard coded links - just delete them!
Run anti virus (Kaspersky) - for me it picked up encrypted code left by a "guru" in his PLR HTML templates.
