Yes, you are totally right. The main reason for blogging is to share one's idea and knowledge with others. It's an opportunity to expose oneself and one's talent. I really love blogging because it makes me feel happy when my visitors learn from my post and submit positive feedback/reply. :)

Getting traffic is not a reason to start blogging. Instead after starting blogging you get traffic (or at least want to increase the traffic). Don't you agree?
