Thread: Wordpress or Custom? Does Google care?

Im working on a rich content blog(not auto) and I happen to be a programmer and wrote my own blogging software complete with the basic SEO stuff including sitemaps etc.

My question is do you think it matters to Google whether I use my own blogging platform or Wordpress? Do you think Wordpress has an out-of-the-box advantage in the SE?

Wordpress has so many different plugins that if you are tossing around the idea of WP or custom, I'd be going WP.. hands down.

Thanks BTB, do you think Google gives WP an advantage over custom unknown CMS's?

I believe they do but only because of the different plugins that can make WP so powerful. Take away the plugins and you have just another site.
