Simon.com offers gift cards; NOT actual debit cards. Though the line of credit is drawn on a bank, it is considered a throw-away card.



You are REALLY missing the point; which is that these new cards can be obtained by people who, in the past, were not able to get them, such as foreigners.

Read the post and actually understand it before you get on your horse and talk down to sr. members.

That is correct, it is a prepaid Visa card and is considered a throw away but you can attach a name, address and phone to the card for online shopping.

Well, if you are living in the USA, I would say carry your butt down to the nearest Wallgreens and get one. Otherwise you need someone to do it for you.

But the point I am trying to make here is that you have to be a USA resident (with a valid USA card) to get one of these in the first place.
It's a catch 22. As far as I know, in all but in-store buys (in which case you still have to be in USA), you need a USA debit/bank/credit/gift card to get a USA debit/bank/credit/gift card.

Good development, but it would be helpful if a few specific reloadable cards that work this way were mentioned. Also, if they have online access and are also 'bank accounts,' do they come with a bank routing/account number, and work as well as VBAs for PP verification?

V!SA VANILLA Cards no longer work with verifying paypal accounts. V!SA VANILLA changed their system last month where you can no longer register them online with your address to match the paypal one.

This is BHW and the people here generally thing "OOTB". Even Visa: There are ways around EVERYTHING. You should investigate some more.

I agree, why are the cards not mentioned. No where in this entire thread does the op mentioni which cards he/she is talking about. WTF?

There are a few of them & I am sure I mentioned Green Dots. If not I did a million times on my other post (which I linked to) and now here. Settle down.
