Freelancer allows you to post a project for free. I personally like Elance or Scriptlance better though.

I've used odesk roughly 6-7 times and only had one issue with a scammer from Brazil. But other than that I would definitely use the service again.

Odesk is the best. you can use elance too. Get a freelancer is a crap, thats what I think.

Getafreelancer is average site

You can choose freelancer.com. But you need to invest some amount for starting. Otherwise you can choose odesk.com. It is so user friendly and need not to invest here.

These list are all great and I agree with you saying there are pros and cons with each site however I've already tried being an odesk freelancer and it's totally free.

microworkers. I made $11 in with less than a hour of work. I wish I knew about freelancing back in my survey taking days lol. Its the easiest money ever and its honestly not that bad. I moved on to bigger things but if your a noob trying to make some quick EASY cash. Sign up to microworkers and you can easily make $20 per day.
