Hey!
I am using 000webhost for my wordpress site.
I noticed that the bigger my site gets the slower it loads.
Is it possible that free webhosts are much slower than paid ones?
Should I buy a hosting package? What do you guys recommend?

Well of course a free host is going to be slow. In the hosting world I have learned that you definately get what you pay for. I would recommend Hostgator, as I have been with them for years now and have had very few problems.
well, if your making enough every month then... YEAH, why not
I used free hosting until I started earning enough $$ to pay for better hosting. But 000webhosting is not that bad, the only problem I had with them is that they would go down from time to time and that the maximum file storage per site was limited to 1500 files.
Right how I have 2 hosting accounts, one with Bluehost, another one with hosting24.
Hosting24 seems to be much faster than Bluehost (2x-8x) and their servers almost never go down, while with Bluehost, the server goes down from time to time but only for a couple of minutes. Bluehost costed me 80$ for a year and hosting24 120$ (billed monthly) but its worth the difference.
Not saying that you should choose any hosts that I mentioned here but just do some research and remember that what you pay is what you get.
In my opinion xtreemhost is pretty decent free host. I used it to host something (Cant mention on BHW) and it worked perfectly fine!
Ironically, Hosting24 is the premium version of 000Webhost.
Basically, yea. Free hosting is slow, and it goes down enough to be noticeable and somewhat annoying. But it's nice for experimentation or to make an extra $10-$20 a week to help cover some bills, or to support those little projects you've got going on that don't justify paying for premium hosting.
