Thread: Having Problem with Hostgator, Urgent Help Needed Please

Hello All,

I am hosting an auto blog at hostgator with their "baby plan" I am using WP Robot (legal copy of course) Now problem is that every now and then HG block my data base and I get 403 Error.

A support ticket is immediately and automatic created and I receive an email from their support department, starting with following message:

"This message is to advise you of a temporary block placed on your database. The database was found to be consuming an inordinate amount of processor time, to the point of degrading overall system performance. While we do limit each account to no more than 25% of a system's CPU in our terms of service, we do not actively disable accounts until they greatly exceed that number, which is what happened in this case..............."

This is new blog and is not making any money, so I don’t want to pay more than $10 per month.

I have even installed W3 total Cache Plug in, but they still block my database.

I urgently need your help on this.

Note: One very important thing, I notice that they block my database when ever there are a high number of blog posts, like 10 posts within an hour. But this is something that I can not change because of the nature of the niche for this blog.

Yeah, your last statement kind of killed the advice I was going to offer. Which was, of course, to lower the posting frequency. If you refuse to do this, as well as refuse to upgrade your hosting package, you will continue to experience this issue.

Hostgator are bitches! go for extreme hosting .... Unlimited, cheaper and GREATER as well

I get this on Hostgator even on my WHM accounts. It's usually partly your fault because you're running at a high frequency, but also partly someone else's fault because someone else is also running the server ragged

I only run WPRobot 2.1, have heard older copies of 3.x runs servers into the ground

As well, if you're running 2.1 and can't reduce the amount of times you're posting (it is a fair amount) consider reducing the number of categories you're posting into / different terms topics

This will reduce the "max" load it places on the server - if you have 100 categories that post at separate intervals, then (eventually) there will be one specific hour where they're all posting at once, swamping the server

would it help if you got your hosting off a reseller or no difference
(im not gonna ask you to buy off me as i dont even have a resell account)

I have latest version installed, which is 3.12 I believe.

Install:

WP Super Cache (OK)
DB Cache

Delete wp-thumbie, related post or similar plugins (for high database querys)

Go phpmyadmin (if you can now): repair and optimize all tables.
