Thread: this product sells like CRAZY for 5x what i pay for it!!!

Ok guys so i found bhw a couple of days ago and i have learned a lot about CHINA MADE REPLICAS GAME. my wife and i started selling our stuff on ebay and like everyone else.. WE GOT HOOKED. i started researching wholesale companies (like everyone else does) and ended up with CHINESE supersite dhG. i started looking at prices and decided to check out some dvd boxsets. the prices were soooo low that i just had to check it out. well, i recently had paid about $150 for "THE"extreme home fitness set (starts with a P ends with and X) and these guys were charging about $18 a set!!! I had to check it out to test the water because the seller told me it was "THE REAL DEAL" so i ordered 3 sets.

when i got them it was like WOW!!! It was all exactly like the one i got from the original website. UNREAL!!! So because this seller (a huge powerseller on the chinese site) told me that MOST ebay and amazon powersellers bought from him. I FELL FOR IT. AND PUT THEM UP ON EBAY!! now.. in 3 days i sold all 3 sets for an average of like $100 a piece. IT WAS CRAZY!! That is sick profit. sooooo, I freak out and send out an order for 50 more sets. and of course they got taken by customs. but because this guy sells so much (and wanted me as a new customer).. he agreed to send me a whole new order. WHICH SEEMED CRAZY TO ME.

of course.. all of the sudden it hit me.. WHY WOULD MY STUFF GET TAKEN AT CUSTOMS IF ITS SO LEGIT?? i know im stupid but all i could see at 1st was the money. NOT THE OBVIOUS signs that all this was fake/illegal

so now i have all these dvd sets on the way to my house. and I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM. ive read TONS OF THREADS here about how much trouble ppl get in and im freaking the fk out. i didnt mean to get into this whole illegal/underground REPLICA selling mess but I DID. and im worried. im not a criminal and im scared i will get in trouble for it.

PLEASE HELP WITH SOME ADVICE GUYS.. WHAT DO I DO WITH ALL THESE SETS? I HATE LOOSING $850 BUCKS BUT I GUESS I CANT DO ANYTHING TO GET MY MONEY BACK.. OR CAN I??

you dont wanna sell it. Their lawyers have been trying to extort money from a bunch of those sellers on ebay. i would try other auction sites.

obviously its illegal, no one should be selling their products except themselves.

customs didn't take your items if they are being sent to your place. it just bypass customs like every good from china. if it was taken you would get a letter from them asking you to come pick it up.

if i were you i'd sell it 8 more times, get your initial investment back then sell the rest somewhere else

if the 1st shipment got intercepted by customs, then wouldn't they have your address already?

I have no idea about your current order. But next time don't buy large replica order from China. The custom never believe it's legit if it come from China even the grade of product is A+++

To reduce your risk, you should use them as dropshipper. Tell them don't attach invoice and label as gift when sending to your customer.

If they arrive just sell them as a wholesale listing on ebay so you can just get shot of them and not have to deal with numerous customers. It's just not worth doing this long-term. 99.9% of stuff from China are fakes unfortunately regardless of what the sellers tell you.

What do you state in your auction as your items location then? You WILL HAVE TO state CHINA and then nobody will buy this because a.they know they will have to pay for customs and b. they know this is never the ORIGINAL thing.

Also I am wondering how he could sell many of them at $100 because I have seen many sellers on eBay offering same set for $50-60.

And I just checked dhgate, there is no seller you could order from. The ones that sell single items charge $50 for shipping so I pay more then sellers on eBay would ask for. And to order from the ones with free shipping you have to take 10, 20 or more items. I definitely won't buy so many items from an unknown Chinese seller that asks for advanced payment.

Did you really think that you get the real stuff for one tenth of the price? However, buying replicas for yourself and selling them are two totally different story from a legal point of view. So, just don't list them any more. Also, you should dig up the emails where you explicitly ask about the origin and get a positive answer.
