Thread: Are there any REAL UNBIASED review sites?

It seems that most review sites are just affiliate programs with some attached reviews. I found imreportcard.com and thought that it might be unbiased.

However, while reading a "money making" report it suggested getting paid for writing reviews. It really surprised me to see the site he pointed to for placing these reviews was imreportcard.com.

Everyone seems to be so elusive when it comes to what really is and what really is not working. So where can we find a site that has good honest review info and is completely unbiased?

Not sure what report is that but he probably meant that you should write reviews on your blog/site and get commission for it. Try reviewstream.com [$2.5 review on their site], reviewme.com [$20 - $200 posted on your blog - you need to qualify], ciao.co.uk [$ per rating - on their site]...

I appreciate all of the energy you put into answering my question. However, I should clarify what I am looking for.

I want to find a review site or review forum that just tells the truth about the quality of the products.

My point was that I thought I had found this site (imreportcard.com) and it rewards people for leaving reviews. This tells me that some people will just post anything for the incentive and they are not really leaving honest reviews.

I use Warrior Forum. WF sucks for many things but at least the people give reviews after using the products and share their experience. Just type in Google keyword or product warriorforum and you will have a few reviews. Sometimes they even run many pages long.

No worries. I don't read only one review, especially not on sites like that. Even if they wanted to be honest about it most people that write for them are trying to produce as many as possible a day. Unfortunately this leads to poor quality, inaccurate, sometimes biased reviews.

I suggest you find active niche blogs and read about that particular product there. Stronger blogs usually can afford to write a honest review while very few new bloggers write negative ones. Alternative to that would be to search/ask on the niche forum. You will get a better idea there.

Review websites never worked for me. I have seen the writers side of it. Even when I wrote an honest review about a product I have actually tested or know well there was a chance I will be edited and/or not published. It's a great and easy way to make money nevertheless. I believe most of them are similar.

look for shane melaugh if you are interested in SEO products.. he offers really genuine reviews on them and test every single one of them himself before reviewing it on his site...

You do get some fair reviews on WF but the thing to be aware of is that some of the "unbiaesd" reviews on WF are posted by people who are affiliates for that same product.

In view of the fact software producers pay for sales, I doubt there are real unbiased review sites out there.
