Default Adsense earnings less than what you guys post

I have 20 adsense blogs with good CTR.

However these clicks I get on all of them are paying me .06 to .60 per click. Using google's adwords tool these keywords have a CPC of "$2" to "$20" on those same keyword blogs.

I am getting great traffic and great CTR on most all of them yet I get something like $1 per 8 friggin clicks....

Blogs are PERFECTLY keyword targeted and the ads appear for the keywords that google says pays HIGHer CPC.

Yet everyone here posts they are getting friggin $6 a click..

    Someone aint telling the truth!

have you tried using the adsense competitive ad filter? Also you can get the google adsense preview tool go to your site and right click and preview the ads that show up. Run those through keywordspy and see how much advertisers are paying for them

Its not that everyone's lying, its you that picked up a wrong market to promote.
For example - Your promoting mini screwdrivers .. what do they cost? $2-5.
Now do you think that people are going to pay you more than $0.2 per click? No.
And if you promote screwdriver antenna, you are probably going to get $1/click since they start at $100.

    Hope it helped

well most people think if ctr is good and traffic is good earnings will be big...

the most important your traffic.. if your visitors coming from US your earnings will be higher..

cuz google can show more relevant ads in that country in any niche

CPC depends on lots of factors, some of them you can't control.

    - You will never get $2 if the cpc is $2. Adsense has a 49% percent share in earnings.

    - If the cpc is $2 that does not necessarily mean that $2 ads will be shown on your website. High cpc ads are shown on Google search, lesser ones on content network (publisher sites)

    - Where is your traffic from? Traffic from Asian countries will generally pay less thank US, UK traffic.

    - High paying clicks are generally reserved for better, more trusted sites with a history of good conversion rates.

    - If clicks on the ads at your website don't results in conversions, you could be facing smart pricing.

    - If the site is new, Google won't give you high paying ads right away, it takes time.

    - whats the avg time of a visitor on your site? If its less than a minute then Google will probably think of it as a "not so good" user experience. This may be one of the cpc factors too. Sites like EZA where people spend a lot of time due to rich content get high CPC clicks.

    - The number of advertisers bidding on a keyword keeps changing. Hence the cpc keeps fluctuating too.

Many more such factors at play.

I have sites that get 2 cents a click and I have some sites that get $5 clicks. As per my observation, my High PR sites which are older (2-3 years in age) get high paying clicks.

Instead of worrying about CPC, its better you take your time to build a better site with lots of content. Traffic is the key, if you have huge traffic with 15 cents clicks then you can earn a lot more than $2 clicks with only few visitors.

Hope this helps, Good luck with your site
