Thread: Traffic before Adsense?

Reminds me of the question: "Which came first...the chicken or the egg?"

Here it is the question is: "Which comes first...the traffic or the adsense?"

There is really no REAL answer to that. I have blogs that I put up adsense before I had a lot of traffic. And I have blogs that had traffic before I put the ads.

I do have to say if you are going towards the personal blogging route (like blogging about golf techniques or your favorite hobby....whatever) and you have subscribers, be prepared.

Some readers really do bitch and moan about the ads a LOT. I lost a few on one of my blogs because I placed the ads after I gained a lot of readership.

However, at the end of the day, they didn't want to give me a single 1.00 donation for a cup of coffee and they weren't paying my bills so I had no choice but to go with adsense/ads. Basically I had to tell the loudmouths to hit the road if they didn't like the ads.

Get the traffic first then use ad sense.You would be surprised as the traffic would keep on increasing so do your earnings.

you can ad adsense before traffic no worries.. you're better off not putting adsense on before being indexed though, from personal experience :-)

I can get 1000's of impressions on a daily basis of traffic that isn't targeted and get no clicks, if your traffic is targeted and your sites layout is optimized to get the highest conversion getting clicks is no issue.

At first get lots of traffic than you should put adsense in your sites.

My own personal experience, if your website is new, don't put the Adsense yet. Build backlinks first and get your website on Google search engine. Once it's listed, then put the Adsense code.

The reason is because there are some people who get into trouble with their site to get rank on Google because they put their Adsense on the site too soon. It doesn't matter whether your site have traffic or not, just put your code after your site is on Google.

i suggest you to sign up via hubpages method or any other method then put your codes on whatever site you want...
