Forum profiles - Some not getting indexed
I wanted some of your thoughts on some of my forum profiles which just aren't getting indexed.
I have noticed this particularly with the SMF platform. Note I have fully spun bio's and there is no difference between the profiles getting indexed and the ones that arent!
I also know that Google is seeing and reading the page, because instead of indexing my actual profile page, at the end of the profile, it is going through to the 'latest posts' and 'stats' pages of the member and indexing them! So it is indexing them but not indexing the profile page at all!
Also I can throw numerous links at them, and eventually it does seem they will get indexed, however I was just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing similar?
My time is probably better spent creating new profiles and getting them indexed, however thought I would ask the question anyway.

You're missing something, sir.
You need to bookmark your profiles or at least ping the forum user list.
Of course, many like 3-5 profiles on the 10 biggest social bookmarking sites and randomly bookmark your profiles.
1. add your profile today and no links yet!
2. write 2-3 posts (the admins once in a while check to see if there are users with 0 posts - very easy from phpbb or vbulletin or other crappy forum script dashboard)! so 2-3 posts > 0 posts. they delete the 0 posts every now and then to keep the forums clean
3. after a week put the links (max of 3 links - in signature use anchor text, at the website: just put the website, try to make the profile look real (pic, some data... check fakenamegenerator.com)
4. bookmark the profile / ping the forum profile + ping the bookmarking profile
5. $
I have seen websites rank with profile links (from forums) alone. So yea, it works. =)
