Thread: Multiple Backlinks

Dear All,

Please,I need help.

Recently I posted a one comment on a blog to get a backlink.

When I analyzed my backlinks for my site in Yahoo Site Explorer, I found that there are multiple backlinks from the same site. Unforunately, I'm not allowed to insert screen shot as my post count is low.

Will all those links from the same site negatively effect my site's future rankings in Google?

If it's a problem, what can I do to fix it?

You will not get any negative effects afaik.
It is due to, those blogs will be showing the recent comments option at various pages, that leads to multiple backlinks. Don worry and continue ur campaign.

When you say multiple backlinks, how many are we talking about? If it's just a couple it probably isn't a big deal. If it's hundreds then it'll probably be seen as spam. I'd say you probably don't need to worry about it.

We're talking about 75 of these since 24 August 2010.

These are usually from blogs that show the "latest comment" on each page, so with time it will die down.

Anyway if it was seen as spam all blogroll link would be seen the same, and they aren't...

Don't worry, they aren't seen as spam if it's a "Latest comments" thing. Googlebot is ONLY the most sophisticated bot ever written. If it's some kind of mistake don't worry they wont get you penelized nor give you more boost.
