You can eliminate three of the plugins mentioned - Google XML Site Maps, Platinum SEO Pack, SEO Presser - by using Wordpress SEO. I can't post links yet, but you can search for it in your WP site.

Payback Time:
We have thousands of WP sites that we have great success with and so I thought it might be useful to let you into some of the "secrets" of what actually works for us, techniques and strategies together with what plugins etc I think definitely contribute to that success.
WP is still the king for SEO purposes and if you set it up right it can reward you VERY well
Make sure that you at least do the following:
1) Always delete the "hello world" post
2) Delete the standard links.
3) Link then to authority sites in your niche.
4) Install and configure the following plugins:
Google XML Site Maps
Platinum SEO Pack
Stealth Traffic Systems
SEO Presser
Use Google Libraries
Sexy Bookmarks
WP Super Cache
Simple Tags
Exec-PHP
Adsense Now (set the share to 0%!)
ServerBuddy & BackUpBuddy
WordPress Duplicate Content Cure
GD Press Tools
Ping Optimizer
Insights
5) Get Your Robots.txt Right !!! (Note: This is REALLY CRITICAL!)
6) "Connect" the blog to a full set of Web 2.0 accounts through Ping.fm
7) Make the front page sticky with a properly optimized "fixed" page.
8) Create 10 Unique (100%) article posts (with mixed media) and drip them into the new blog over 30 days
9) Use the best AutoBlog Plugin(s) - (preferably highly tweaked PHP) to add diverse on topic posts on an ongoing basis.
10) Get the best spinner you can afford and create a series of dripped posts.
11) Promote them with Senuke, EVO II, LFE or something siomilar at least once per month EVERY month...
12) Get as many backlinks, bookmarks, etc to the individual posts (deep) in your blog on an ongoing basis but start it slow and build up to a crescendo.
13) Monetize your blog properly so it CONVERTS!
14) Promote, promote and then promote
(If you aren't sure, need help, want more "secrets" or just want to be kept updated then send me a pm and I will add you to some kind of inner circle update list - I'll send you details when I get time to set it up)

Hi
I really appreciate your tech help. Don't get a lot of that! We have a lot of adsense sites and am now starting up some blogs. Have done one with WP and WP Robot and it's up and working but don't have a clue what or where to put robots.txt file. We have hostgator reseller acct and I'm looking for a place to paste in your recommendations on robots.txt. (I am guessing that's what we do with it)
Sorry, I just don't quite get it yet. I think blogs could be a real winner, but gotta do them right. Yeah... thousands, like yuu said
thanks for robot.txt information
@BudToka
I don't mind answering your questions but no need to PM me with stuff that might be of interest to others
My reply:
Amazon is fine but it pays very low at 4% to 6% and I would suggest you find some "hot" xmas items and then some direct suppliers as you can do a better deal direct and you can often get 20% to 35% if you ask...
You are very late though to try and get momentum for Xmas! I would start work on stuff for Valentines day if I were you and if you are hoping for success as just getting indexed and ranked is gonna take you past Xmas unless you buy an old domain and "sanitize" it fast!
As far as Xgenseo goes I am not a fan as it is a bit clunky and slow I think you get more of a hit from Senuke if the choice is one or the other.
BUT
This is a BIG but... (must go on a diet!) Beware of Senuke, EVO, Xgen and the like as they have a really easy to detect footprint and you need to mix it up and not go with the default...
Most users make the mistake of clicking "all" and hitting submit... Big "no no" if you want to dstay under the G's radar.
Take the set of ~500 profile sites for example that hardly changes... A simple rule I would apply if I wanted to see who was a Senuke owner would be to see who has profiles in say 70% of that list... "Gotcha!"
Same applies to the Web 2.0 set or the RSS set...
Use some not all and mix it up each time IMHO.
Best of luck in your marketing
DJ
Hi thanks for this great info. I check out this forum regularly and am learning some important stuff, but it really is this kind of thread and this type of giving attitude that makes this a must watch forum.
I really like your idea of a place where we can exchange ideas and learn from each other (although it is clear to me that I have more to learn than to give, but you never know)
Thanks again, not just for the information but the way you have given it - with the intention to simply help
Dave
