I never used such sites so maybe dumb question... In order to see recent changes you already need a list of friends isnt it? Because I see nothing but I have no friend added till now. So do you search random names, ask them for being friends and if you have some you see recent changes where you post something to get more friends?

Yeah you will need friends first without that you aint going to see no, friend updates. To get friends join those big groups and those big fan pages.

When you done that go back to those groups and send a message there something along the lines of hey peeps add me, looking for friends something along them lines.

Once you have built up your friends log back into facebook then click on the friends link, you will then see a option that says status updates. click that and comment on all the updates you see.

There is a limit on the amount of comments you can make, so do about 30 comments, and wait say 30mins then post another 30 and you should be fine.
