Thread: what is the minimum traffic required to make at least 10 dollars a day from adsense

I have few websites. google normally shows me that i get around 2000 impressions but my earning has been really low.

20 to 30 cents a day..

can someone advice how can I get more money from those?
what do I need to do ?

Marketers say you should get 1 in 100 click through rate. That is 1% conversion rate. Another course I did said 1 in 200% is the absolute min you should have or 0.5%.

If you are not getting this CTR then the people don't want to buy/click in the niche you are in or you are giving them the wrong content. For adsense content you want to give them enough information but not all so they have to click on the banner ads to get more.
Where are your adsense banners placed? You can have three max, so try a small long one at the top, one in the middle of your posts/page and a banner at the sidebar. Or instead of the middle try the bottom of the post.
Test what works. Get 200 or more impressions clocked with each configuration and calculate the CTR and see what placement makes it higher.

Are you giving the people what they want. What is your bounce rate like from google anlaytics? 100% is bad, 75% is okay, 50% is good.
How long are people spending on your site? How many pages are they visiting?

Okay maths.
Lets assume 1 in 200 conversion rate, so your 2000 visitors should be getting 10 clicks. Any less you need to improve this, should try and improve it anyway.
How much is your average click worth? Get this from your adsense report page.
To make $10 a day:
$10/aver click price= number of visitors to click your require.
Say the average ad was 50c.
$10/0.50 = 20 clicks you need a day. So you need at 4000 visitors/impressions a day if your CTR is 0.5%, 2000 at CTR at 1%.

At the moment your CTR seem to be too low and probably your ad revenue per click is too low. You can't control how much they give per ad but if you have a better quality content and site you might attract higher priced ads. Or move to a more expensive niche. The Google keyword took lets you know how much the average CPC is, so target low comp more expensive keywords.

(BTW is this 2000 visitor/impression a month or a day?
If is a day, why are you wasting your time with adsense when you could be making money elsewhere with that traffic.)

I don't know if you can really make money from Adsense anymore, what do other people think?
I never really have, I think people are blind to the banners now and getting a 100 or 200 visitors to make 3c is hardly worth it.

Nice one Rapid. You've pretty much answered the questions I was gonna ask on here in a while. I have a CTR of 1% (on the dot) and thought it was too low. It's from my major article marketing on Bukisa and after 1,400 page views I thought 1% was pretty lame, but I suppose, I'll just keep on backlinking and promoting and adding more material (in the higher paying KW threshold) and stick to it. Hopefully it will be a passive income in months to come but for now, not even 3 weeks into it, I'll stick to it.

I never make much from adsense, most people use add block add-ons and dont see them anyway so most of the traffic never get to click on your ads.

Is there any other programe which can give me revenew per impression ?
