Thread: Where is web design headed in terms of programming languages?

I have been completely out of web design for over six years and have no idea what direction it is headed. I'm interested in dabbling in it again, but feeling a little too lazy to research what languages I should learn or relearn. With broadband access allowing such high use of audio, video, etc. what languages are best suited for the web now and in the future? From a language point of view, where is web design headed?

Well your question is not clear to me fully, but so far I understood that you are in frustration on what to learn first to design a web page. So at first I wanna know that how much deep do you wanna learn web page designing? On the basis of your choice I can try to guide you.

are you talking about learning about the programming languages related to the web page designing? then i will tell you to learn PHP very soundly.
and if you want to learn computer programming then i will suggest to learn C++.
