When you create backlinks of your site by following the rules and regulations of search engines. So at which speed you create these links fro mother high pagerank sites. The speed at which you create backlinks of your site is called link velocity.

Its better to get daily 10 backlinks to your site for 30 days rather than getting it into 1 day because by doing lots of backlinking in a day will cause your website considered as a spam...
