    Default ES5 Under Dos Attack

    Hey Guys...

What can I say, the price of fame can result in some over-zealous individuals/companys using tons of bots to attack us. As I am writing these words, we're still under the attack. It's not your usual SYN or SMURF attack - which we are fully prepared to deal with. Instead, this time the (Gov / Tier 1 Company / Individual?) used around 65,000 infected computers to attack us.

Your probably wondering how the hell I'm writing this message if we're under attack. Well, pretty simple. As soon as the attack to place, my team wrote code to collect all of the attacking ip addresses - and ban their entire ISP's.

Chances are if you connected to ES5 over the past couple of hours, your IP was banned to. If so, you will need to send me an email to sharepro -at- gmail.com and give me your es5 username and the IP address so that I can add it in. Please note that if you have friends who use ES5 (but may not be able to see this message), please have them send me an email to unban their isp.

Meanwhile, in the near future we will be measuring peak hours of activity. That way if a sudden burst of activity happens, we can handle it by diverting the attacking packets.

Okay guys...back to enjoying a superior online experience.

    Cheers,
    SharePro

Glad that we are back. Going to start sharing some great stuff on the download section so our enemies can get even more pissed off.

Default Thanks for the heads up.

I thought it was a ddos attack when I tried to access the website yesterday. I saw a new website and I was like hmm I thought I typed in the correct url. I reyped it to fully realize the problem.

I love this website it is not money driven like warriorforums or forum.digitalpoint.com.

Its a nice place to share ideas and software.

Keep the good work up Sharepro and all es5 supporters.

    Thanks.

Yes dos attacks are so lame.
I wouldn't want to have Sharepro as an enemy.
He's the kind of guy that would get your name on an international terrorist list.

I keep getting and error while trying to log in saying Invalid url Es5.com

Is the DDOS attack the reason or is it something else ? Thanks
