Thread: Google backlinks

Something I'm wondering about is why my site isn't getting any backlinks through Google. There are about 60 links showing in total from other search engines, but whichever search tool I've used, there is nothing from Google. Any ideas?? Thnx

Make sure your site is set up in Google Webmaster Tools. Use link:yoursite.com for true Google backlinks count. Keep getting backlinks.

Most of these online sites don't show Google backlinks while there are, just bad free scripts downloaded from the net mostly

Google WON'T show you all the links that your website has. As a matter of fact Google shows the Least amount of backlinks. I will go further, No tool or Search Engine will tell you ALL the links for a specific website.

Google also thinks it is important to know how many *other* people think your site is worth by giving you a link on their web page. Every site that links to you that has a PR of 4/10 or higher counts towards your Google Backlinks. (PR=PageRank in webmaster talk) However, recently Google began mixing things up by showing only links which where lower than a PR4.

When you go to your main index page of your site, to the right side of your PageRank, you will see the little blue "i" with "Page Info". Click on the button, then select "Backward Links". This will show many of the pages that Google has found that deem your site worthy

Now, Google has a few "rules" so to speak, before it will include a certain page in your backlinks and count it towards your PR.

As some have stated, Google doesn't give up the links that they have on your site. Yahoo is normally the bench mark to see how many links you have.

DOn't get caught up checking your stats, just continue to build daily.

you can see it in your google webmaster tool, but it take time to apear
