@DomainBELL can you share how you managed to follow more than 2k people?

I haven't found the exact formula but once you get past the followed by 2k people you will be allowed to follow more people. I manage a page that has had a huge upswing in popularity based on a product we put out. I went from 5k followers to 8k followers overnight, I got the 5k from following then un following people who tweeted about certain key words. There are programs out there that will automate this for you but I use tweepi and try to play by the rules.

When I went to 8k overnight they cut me off at 7800 following, probably because I followed so many people in such a short amount of time but 24 hours later they let me continue following.

My general system is to use tweet deck and have a search for key words up on one monitor, follow everyone who tweets those words. I follow from Sat-Weds, then take Thurs off and flush the people who don't follow me back on Friday. I religiously do FF but it doesn't do much. Rinse and repeat.
