Default anyone experience a google penalty for this ?

I created a a good website description for one of my sites and included it in the meta tags. The description is generating a lot of interest from the people searching the listings and I am punching above my weight when it comes to people clicking on my site.

It is a pretty generic description and can be used on most sites . My question is , if I use this description, word for word on my other sites, will I be penalized by google for dup content.

Anyone have a similar experience ?

You don't really have meta tags for web sites but for web pages, as with the "title" tag.

I'm unsure where you're worried the penalty might hit. Is it your first primary site or the new site?

I don't think google would set a dupe-content penalty against the original site (a new variant of google-bombing comes to mind.) And if it the new seite, why not set something simple up as a test? In other words don't set up a second web site with the new material you want to market; set up the second site with some unimportant thing since you only want to test google's response to your dupe description. That way if google does set a penalty you haven't lost anything and if it doesn't you can then go ahead with your real second site.
