    Default Domain Age ?

Guys, does anybody know how important domain age / Google trust is nowadays ?

I have found a niche and I am eager to get the ball rolling, but it looks as though I may have to purchase a brand new domain (luckily the .org is available).

Domain is important factor but it's not mandatory to use old domains to get ranked. I will place more weight to keyword related domain then age... There are lots of factor for ranking and age is only one of them so don't worry you can start with new domain also... Just remember new domain take times in making trust factor but if you do all step by step soon you can rank for it.

Website Age... a 10 year old domain that is new to google has no extra value... a domain that has been in the SERPs for 10 years... now that's worth something... I have over 700 ten year old domains... I only have about 20 ten year old websites... so I only have 20 domains that are properly aged and have age advantage. Use a tool like waybackmachine to get an idea of how old a website is. Look for dates in the domains serps and get an idea how far back it goes... don't just trust domain created date or you'll get ripped off.

afaik, domain age is simply a trust factor for search engines. the older the domain, the better. then again, like what bizroot said, it's not mandatory to get ranked. lots of people out there get ranked as long as they know proper seo.

im no pro but these are just my thoughts

I think domain age is not fact for getting better page rank on search engine. If you have enough back link then you must get good page rank on search engine. Don't worry about domain age.
