Just keep building links and don't worry to much about it, every time I build a lot of links real fast my site will drop down and then come back better than it was.
Just search around in Google webmaster central, they give answers to many of the things that are such a mystery about google.
Google states over and over that they do not ever penalize a site for anything not in your control...This means they do not penalize for bad backlinks unless you are talking about paid links or link exchanges one way links that are bad get ignored by google at worst. One other thing that could have happened is Google indexed some of those links and jumped you up in the search engine and then decided to ignore them which would drop you down and look like a penalty.
When I try to click the cached version of the page, in google or yahoo... the site cannot be found. Eventhough I know it's been indexed since last time I updated it. Market samurai says so, and the title in the search results has changed.
All other pages on the site has been indexed as well, and I can see the cached version of the sites - just nok the index page. Could that be of any importance you think? I'm definitely going to be reading alot in gooel webmaster central from now on
And hotrod26 it wasn't because of that. Before I got all those links my site was ranking #5 because of my on page seo
Let Google dance with you, just continue to build quality backlinks and G will like you in the end.
i am sorry for you
ihope it not happen for my site
you can't get backlink spammed... it's not possible
it happens all the time even thought I'm building quality backlinks. The link spam is making iit impossible for me. 1 day per week or 2 weeks, the site is back in google top 3, and i'm making sales.... but then it completely disappears, and I get 0 visitors and cant find it, if I don't do a url search.. It's really weird.
What do you mean you can't get backlink spammed- it is very possible. I can send out 1,000 of duplicate content posts for any site I want including competition all over the web in minutes with SENuke or many other programs and to google it looks like just bad SEM. I have thought about this before and I am curious what you can do to make sure it doesn't happen. Most of these programs come with manuals that take you step by step so you don't get blacklisted. If you do the opposite with any site you could get it blacklisted. How do you monitor and protect?
soren: any update on how it's gong with your site?
