Default People say Content is King

So does that mean a $2 article is generally worse then a $5-7 article on a website. I'm considering what i should do. Should i hire the $2 people first proofread and put on my site and then replace with higher quality articles once it starts making money (MNS adsense) or should i stick with content is king idea and just take the blunt of $5. (low on investment money that's why i ask)

IMO serious articles for ranking is dependent on your choice and what you believe in. A lot of folks pays up to $30 for very well done pieces... and these are coming from sites that stays on the top 5 of Google.

Others will see it as BS to go beyond and pay that much and claim they can rank pieces copied from other sites. But yeah each to its own.

Give precise instructions when you hire writers. A cheap article writer can be a huge asset as long as he/she can follow directions. Tell them to write about x topic, what keywords to use, and how many times to use them. Unless they are really shitty on sentence construction, this is the better route IMO

Good article writers are few and far between. Learn to write your own.

yes. like what jodys suggested. learn how to write on your own. learn from it before you hire someone else. otherwise you will never know if the problem is with the writer or your campaign. if paying outsourcer can get everybody rich, there is no poor man.

There's a saying that springs to mind......"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur."

.....however, from my experience of using content writers, it's trial and error, some writers at $2 an article can be way better than ones charging $7 +, you always have exceptions, cheap doesn't always mean inferior quality and expensive doesn't always mean good, testing different writers is the only answer in my opinion.
