Thread: Simple help

Hi guys, i love this site and the fact everyone is very helpful here... i am fairly new to this whole SEO stuff and i am obsessed.... I am currently in the middle of helping 2 people to rank high in google with their pages... checked the competition and they are weak... my main problem now is getting related good **************** backlinks in order to move them up... (everyone looks for backlinks lol) my point is, i dont need thousands of backlinks etc... the competition is weak so i just would like to find a way to get decent links that will help them.... thank in advance

one more thing i forgot to write is.. i followed a few formulas i found here about the google local business and no luck.. like i say, the mess up thing is the competition is so weak and im having a hard time getting this guys on top and local search

So you're saying you're just learning about SEO yet you're helping people with their SEO?

have you tried an online back-link checker? so you can check your competitors domains and see where they get their back-links and then follow suite and submit, your URL's to whichever ones allow submission. and it can also give you a general idea of what types of sites the competitors are using for back-links and a few google searches, you may find a lot more just by studying there's.

I am not just learning...... i didnt mean it that way.. i understand everything about it, but my problem is the backlinks... everyone here obviously is looking for backlinks etc for their big niche... those guys competition is not that bad so i would like for some of you who have been doing this for a while for tip or help.... likeskoolaid yes i checked their backlinks thru but the links with decent PR are from them being mention in articles, not even with an anchor text...

Think of it like a numbers game, doing ten back links a day will make your rank go up. I'm not sure about instant results though. I know it takes time and patience if you want it to be legitimate and long lasting. Sure you can trick it and make it go quickly but it won't last for long. Google will find you. Blog comments, forums, article submission. These site's don't even have to be related to your niche they just need to be popular and full of content, that's what's important.

Related backlinks are BS in my opinion. Just get backlinks from social, forums, blogs, articles, etc... and you'll see results. Don't over think it.

you are not going to get related links so easily.just stick with the common link sources and that would be way more than enough to get better SERP.

thank you guys... i've been stressing it out since i though you have to get links related to your niche... everytime i find good links they are nofolow... waste of time right??... hey BTW i heard today that google change their algorithm today is that true??
