Thread: Yahoo shows 2176 backlinks, Google shows 0?

A new site has exactly those stats.
According to yahoo I have 2176 and I have 0 on Google. Will this effect my rankings and what can I do?

Google takes longer to index backlinks, i have 10k according to site explorer but Google only shows 2k. you just have to wait or, you can follow the techniques on this forum to have them index quicker.

also there is really no correct way to determine the indexed backlinks with google. it could be saying that but you could really have 200 backlinks with them.

Like slickgamerz said , google takes its time , but do not forget : Yahoo SUPPORTS "-Nofollow" Links , at the time Google does not . Google dont like the name "spam"

check webmaster tools. Google will not show you all of your links, especially if there low quality.

Hey Aliyah7, 10k backlinks is not that many. Browse the forum as your new. Using the information and software found in the blackhat seo tools forum you can build 10k backlinks in a month with ease.

Hudders, Google takes time to show those backlinks. Yahoo shows those very quickly. Also, check your Google Webmaster Tool, it will show up the websites that linking to you. Google webmaster tend to be more organized as it shows descending according to the number of links a domain linking to you.

Pretty standard to have 2k bl from yahoo and no from google after a month of backlinking. Keep cool, just normal!

Google webmaster tool shows up those backlinks, but most of the time the backlinks shows up in Google webmaster are different from those appear in Yahoo. I have articles which I cannot see a backlinks from Yahoo but they all show up in Google Webmaster. That's why it's good to setup Google Webmaster.
